During tea ceremony, 100% organic matcha green tea is the japanese tea being used.

It is made by using the highest quality gyokuro leaves and pulverize it into a very fine powder almost the consistency of a talc which is then called matcha green tea powder.

It is then dissolved in hot water and whipped using a bamboo whisk resulting into a frothy consistency.

Japanese bean cakes or any traditional sweets are used in the tea ceremony.

Matcha tea is served in a bowl, then drunk from the bowl in three long sips followed by a pause.
